This policy explains how Nivra handles information when you use our mobile news application. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Information we process
- Account information: email address, authentication provider identifiers, and a name when supplied through sign-in.
- Preferences and activity: selected city, followed topics, notification choices, saved stories, reading history, votes, comments, reports, and interactions such as views, reads, saves, and shares.
- Device and notification information: a randomly generated app device identifier, platform, Expo push token, and notification-topic preferences.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, error context, performance traces, and sampled session-replay information. Text is masked in replay diagnostics. Images visible in the app may be included.
- Network information: IP address and standard request metadata processed by our infrastructure and service providers.
Nivra does not request precise GPS location for its current city-selection feature. Your selected city is a preference you choose manually.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, operate saved and personalized experiences, rank and improve the news feed, deliver requested notifications, protect the service, respond to reports, diagnose failures, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication and application data, Expo for application updates and push-notification delivery, Sentry for diagnostics and performance monitoring, and cloud infrastructure for feed scoring and service operation. These providers process information on our behalf under their respective security and privacy terms.
Retention
Account information is retained while your account is active. Device-local preferences and history remain until you clear app data, sign out where applicable, or delete your account. Operational logs and diagnostics are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, and legal compliance. Backup copies may persist temporarily before scheduled deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can change notification preferences in Profile, revoke notification permission in system settings, and delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete Account. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions, email designwithgj@gmail.com.
Children
Nivra is a general-audience news service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries other than your own where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
